Big Dave's Lil Texas Smokehouse

When we walked in, we were the only people there. The waitress was accommodating and let us decide whether we wanted to sit inside or on the patio. We ordered the Texas brisket and the pork butt, both were perfectly cooked and fall-apart tender with a good char! Our food came out relatively quick and our waitress was attentive throughout our dinner. Would definitely eat here again! They also allow dogs on the patio as a customer who came in after us had a dog and both were welcomed.

Sooo good! Everything about the food was absolutely the best. Real food! The brisket was delish, the coleslaw was amazing, the corn bread was like eating my mom’s home made, and the beans…well…incredible! The owners are super nice and so is the staff. I know tonight being the May long, they were short staffed and they still pulled it off. I’m a real foodie connoisseur and pretty darn chef-wise myself and I’m telling you….this place….is damned good. Total yummmm. We’ll be back.

Food was really good. The meat was smoked right, and tasted very smoky. We ordered two burritos, one with brisket and the other with pulled pork. You can tell they care about how to cook the meat, cause it’s done right. Ingredients are prepared fresh, and everything tastes really good. They are one of the few smokehouses in Canada that opens all year round. Seemed like they didn’t usually do walk-in takeout customers, we waited 20mins, but it was worth waiting.
